How it Started

PackLoyal was inspired by my own experience as a pet owner navigating the rental market.  

My dog, Loki, a 100 lb Doberman, is loyal, well-trained, loves people and other dogs, non-destructible and an incredible companion. 

Yet, despite his temperament and training, his breed and size often made him an immediate concern for landlords.

Loki is not perfect, he has his faults, but I know his needs and limitations and only ever set him up for success - that's what responsible owners do. 

Over the past five years, I moved frequently for work and experienced firsthand how difficult it is to secure housing with a dog like Loki. Time and time again, I encountered barriers that had little to do with responsibility and everything to do with perception. 

The lack of a reliable way to demonstrate responsible pet ownership made the process frustrating, uncertain, and limiting.

I was fortunate to meet a few exceptional landlords who were willing to give us a chance. Those experiences proved that when trust is established, the outcome can be incredibly positive—they not only welcomed us but also provided strong references based on our tenancy.

 I take great pride in being a responsible pet owner, and those relationships reinforced the value of accountability and trust on both sides.

Eventually, I made the decision to purchase a home, not just as a personal milestone, but to create stability and housing security for both of us.

That journey made one thing clear: the system isn’t built to support responsible pet owners or give landlords the confidence they need. PackLoyal was created to change that, to build trust, create accountability, and open doors for pet owners and property owners alike.
